We process account details, supplier profile information, customer enquiries, reviews, availability and limited service-demand information to provide and secure the service.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the service, this may include your name, email address, business/contact details, enquiry or review text, account and session records, and supplier workflow information.
Purposes and lawful bases
We use account details to create and manage the account and supplier profile requested by you (contract). We use enquiry details to route the request to relevant suppliers and respond, and limited directory activity to improve matching (our legitimate interests in operating a useful local directory). We use session and security records to prevent abuse and protect the platform (our legitimate interests in security). We keep information where needed to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or add you to marketing emails merely because you register. Approved supplier profile and contact details become public; enquiry details are shared with relevant suppliers.
Retention and security
We minimise retained data and apply bounded retention to operational records. Passwords are stored as hashes, sensitive account pages are not intended for search indexing, and account export and deletion controls are available to signed-in users.
Service providers
Hosting and email delivery providers process information on our behalf. AI-assisted features may use an external AI provider only when those features are enabled. For the business-description assistant, only the business facts entered into that tool are sent for drafting. For review summaries, up to the latest 100 published review ratings and review text may be sent for neutral summarisation. Account passwords and private customer enquiries are not part of those AI prompts.
International processing
Our hosting and email service providers may process personal data outside the UK, including in the United States, even where the website server is located in Europe. Their data processing terms include contractual safeguards for relevant international transfers. Contact us for more information about transfers and the safeguards used.
Your rights
UK data-protection rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability depending on the circumstances. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and may complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Retention overview
Completed or closed customer leads are normally removed after 180 days, service-match requests after 90 days, raw market-demand events after 120 days, derived review-summary cache after 30 days, and bounded security-event records after 90 days. Active records may be retained while needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
